St Lawrence Church

St Lawrence Macau Church or Sao Lorenzo – This is one of the more beautiful churches of Macau. Its located on the street of the same name Ave. Sao Lorenzo. St. Lawrence Church was originally built of wood in the 1560, rebuilt in clay
in 1618 and finally reconstructed in stone around 1803. So this particular church is over 200 years old! Located on a hilly part of the city, the church is apprached via a dual stone staircase.

St Francis Xavier Coloane

St Francis Xavier Coloane is a small chapel built in 1928 following the baroque style of Macau’s major churches. Portuguese color schemes of cream and white serves as background for classical oval windows and a small bell tower.

church. The church serves the people of the industrial Bairro Tamagnini Barbosa in
the north of the city. It stands in a quiet courtyard behind wrought-iron gates.

Ruins of St Paul College

The Ruins of St Paul (大三巴牌坊) are the remains of the MATER DEI or Mother of God Church built in the early 16th-century in Macau. With its dramatic 66 stone steps rising up to the baroque facade, the ruins of St Paul is definitely Macau’s most famous icon.
